The vision
Mounji is one of the 3 founders at Metagora.tech, a true honey badger, fierce, agile passionate and very curious ! I have been happy to meet him at Station F in Paris to discuss the culture at Metagora.tech and his vision
Tech is ever evolving, how do you approach research in this rollercoaster
My passion lies in the art of connecting seemingly disparate points. It's an interesting paradox: despite daily big technological announcements, major advancements don't happen overnight. I focus on deepening our knowledge, which often leads to new ideas at the intersection of different worlds. For example, here at Station F, we have Ubisoft right in front of us and just behind us: Thales. I am fascinated by the idea that we could possibly marry Ubisoft's expertise in gaming and interactivity with Thales' technological expertise. Imagine, for instance, using Ubisoft's 3D expertise to create with Thales ultra-realistic simulators for training and complex scenario analysis, thereby combining video game UX know-how with practical and strategic applications. It's about forging unlikely connections to generate unexpected excellence, rather than just constantly seeking to innovate.
Tell us how it all started for you
Well, I was about 15 years old and trying to make a little money, think Myspace was the thing at that time, I was helping guys promote their music. Then I am super curious, digging into the code and so I actually found out it wasn’t that secure and you could tweak pages into ecom, that was my first Hack so to say
Did that get you in troubles ?
Ahahah no it didn't get that big but it ignited something in me, you can always find a way to improve the existing, bending some rules sometimes; that's creativity right ?! That's also what we are doing at Metagora, we are trying to be smart, it's gonna be a long time before we get to the Metaverse as a concept but we can do so much with the existing, bringing cool stuff in the evolution of web
Remenber what Myspace was about ? :)
What's your vision for Metagora ?
Well, we started doing spaces on Decentraland but we couldn’t improve that much on the platform so we decided to move from ‘metaverse’ to web3.d so to say. You can do a lot more out of the platforms to actually connect the best of the emerging tech, 3D experience, AI and Gaming, now we are weblink, mobile ready, VR ready, the tech is for all not only gamers or metavers, we are set to evolve with a vision but we want to be always available for the now; does that make sense ?
Johann Kaiser is the CTO at Metagora how do you interact ?
The point is Metagora is all about collaboration and creativity with a purpose, I am more of a lone wolf by nature but this organization is bringing me something different. We have a real connection with Johann and so everything becomes easy from 3D to Code or AI we share a lot and that's where magic happens, we are super pragmatic about everything, it balances our ‘geek’, we have a purpose: driving progress in organization from operations to consumer interaction so everything we do speaks to that
web3.d or Apple vision ?
I think it is great that brand like apple steps into spatial computing, they will definitely help move the needle however back to my comment before Metagora is about now, so before we all embrace the hardware part we focus on delivering progress on your browser, but at the same time our tech is already ready for mobile or VR; we are already studying Apple vision and we will be ready to shift to MR when the time is right
Whats your vision
Metagora is about collaboration and curiosity, we want to perform for the people. I am dreaming of a world where we can keep progress at the center of what we do without the need of hierarchy, just the best creative people to deliver for our clients and have fun really
lets conclude with your HAIKU :P
